Lago Medio, who is in good shape as evidenced by his track movements, may not find it difficult to win the Racing Officials Trophy, the feature event of the concluding day's races to be held here to-day from the speedy Estevez who runs after a gap of 40days. In fact Lago Medio on account of last performance wherein it came with flourish to finish notable second behind Scholar and also on account of some consistent runs earlier is better placed in the present class as against Estavez. To-day it is going lighter by 2.5kgs and will add advantage to its run here. In the supporting event i.e. The Prive Equine Racing Excellence Trophy Div.I Fantastic has a good chance to score and in the Div.II of the same trophy I strongly fancy The Rebel. ABSOLUTE REALITY for the feature event - The Jockeys Trophy

Hi Folks,

Trainer Altamash Ahmed's ward Absolute Reality, who ran second to Cosmopolitan in his last start should make amends in the Jockeys trophy (1,200m), the main event of the penultimate day's races to be held here to-day. In fact both the horses running here i.e. Absolute Reality and Rose Bowl are very speedy before the homestretch. But the former holds an edge as it has better initial speed. On the basis of last run wherein a big gamble failed, Absolute Reality has clocked better than Rose Bowl for every 200mts., I feel it should easily tackle Rose Bowl his nearest rival and is my recommendation for the Day’s Best bet. Remember one will get good oods because B.Prakash is sitting on Rose Bowl. My remaining speed ratings for the day are as follows:

The Bangalore Turf Club Ltd. Cup - An open race

Hi Folks,

The Bangalore Turf Club Ltd. Cup to be run over six-furlong, the main event of the races to be held to-day looks to be an open race. At least three contenders come into the reckoning. Schnell which has run some good races comes as best followed by Agha and Spirituall. Surprisingly Schnell is not being back by the connections and hence the other two contenders command respect. If Schnell is backed in the ring one can safely play else Agha is the dark one here since the trainer Bezan Chenoy has good record for cup and trophy events compared to other trainers. One-eyed Spirituall no doubt is in good shape as evidenced by his track movements but running after a long absence. Hence one should narrow the choice between Schnell and Agha. The remaining card for the day looks very competitive and it is better one applies proper thought before laying a bet. The remaining speed ratings for the day are as follows:

SEA STAR For The Maharaja Sir Harisinghji Trophy (Grade III)

Hi Folks,

Sea Star trained by C.D. Katrak and to be ridden by Imran Chisty has the best speed to win the feature event of the races to be held to-day. Sea Star faces the strongest test to his stamina against two seasoned campaigners. In the past it was tried in 1800mts at Pune and it failed miserably, probably it was too early in his age. Cabriolet is running after a long gap and hence has herculean task to match the speed of Sea Star. In handicapping Sea Star is way ahead of Cabriolet and marginally ahead of Mr. Greedy. Hence looking at the above factors and also having good initial speed to last the grueling mile distance, I feel Sea Star should romp home from Mr. Greedy. In the Racing Journalists Trophy Emerald Star on account of good morning track work is well placed to win this event. My remaining speed ratings for the day are as follows:

The Bright Hanovar Trophy - An open race

Hi Folks,

The feature event of the day i.e. The Bright Hanovar Trophy looks to me an open race wherein a bunch of horses i.e. Blue Thunder, Tudor Regent, Silver Sands and Wild Torronaado should fight out the issue. Blue Thunder no doubt won two races easily albeit in lower class is facing a tough opposition and hence to achieve a hat-trick will be a herculean task on hand. I personally would take a small each way chance on Tudor Regent from Narendra Lagad stable. It has run some good races in the present class and till date has not been tried honestly. If on job should figure on board. The three-year-old filly Dancing Dame, who ran a late coming 3rd to Icon over 1400mts. in her last start, is in good shape and with extra 200mts. to travel should prevail over Dante Rossetti. Subsequently spurting well in the morning trials and should score an encore in the J.D. & Peggy Banatwalla Trophy, the feature event of the races to be held here to-day. In The Rustomji Byramji Trophy Div.I & II, B.Prakash holds an advantage for both the divisions and one can lay a double bet for win/place. The R.M.Golculdas Gold Cup - SCHNELL holds marginal edge over Sea Star

Hi Folks,

The R.M.Goculdas Gold Cup, the feature event of the races to be held here to-day looks to be close between Schnell and Sea Star. It will not be that easy for Sea Star to score comfortably over Schnell. Though Sea Star is marginally ahead in speed my preference will be Schnell being a pure sprinter in the present class and has run some noteworthy races with better sprinters. The best option here would be to eat favourite. The Desert Warrior Trophy Star Trainer having an advantage of a good run should have an edge over others in the the supporting event of the day.
